STORAGE AND HANDLING

Storage

Aerocopy carbonless copy paper must be stored in the original packaging at the following conditions:
- temperature from 14 to 24°C
- relative humidity from 40 to 60 %.

Aerocopy paper should not be stored:
- near heat sources
- at increased humidity sources
- at direct sun light.

To avoid problems during converting we recommend you to keep the paper in the original packaging by the time of converting. It is recommended that the paper temperature should be the same in the store - room as in the converting hall. As temperature differs more during winter time, it is important to condition the paper before converting it.

When kept under normal storage conditions ageing of Aerocopy paper is not significant, nevertheless we recommend to use it within a period of 2 years.

Handling

The coating on CB and CFB sheets is pressure sensitive and demands careful handling. In order to prevent damage and to avoid reduction of copying capacity the following measures are recommended:
- store the reels on end
- do not stack and pile sheets higher than 2 m
- protect the paper against mechanical pressure
- when handling reels manually use thicker foam
- when handling reels use a clamp truck
- do not roll reels on an uneven floor
- do not turn and roll reels on edges.

Different mechanical impact gives different problems, depending on the kind of paper and damage inflicted. Basically, the damage is inflicted to the microcapsules, which is, in the case of CF sheet, visible at once while on CFB sheet only on the printed product. The results of damage are activated microcapsules and reduced copying capacity.
